Constantia is a traditional ivy-covered village property overlooking the Canal du Midi in the enchanting hamlet of le Somail. Le Somail is one of the most photographed villages on the canal with its ancient bridge and variety of excellent canal-side restaurants, you will also find art galleries and a variety of summer fetes and markets.

The 2 bedroom holiday rental house overlooks the vineyards of the Minervois wine region and is close to amenities with a supermarket just 2kms away, the lovely old town of Narbonne 13kms, and Mediterranean beaches 26kms.

A wooden staircase leads from the gite entrance up to its two bedrooms (one double and one twin). A sofa bed is available to sleep an additional 2 guests. The accommodation is all on the first floor over an unused wine storage facility and the private pool can be accessed either from the outside terrace or the entrance hall. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower, while opposite the twin room is another bathroom with shower. Accross the landing is a magnificent split-level open plan living area with traditional beamed ceilings and windows on three sides. The well-equipped kitchen has a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and gas hob.

French windows open onto the terrace with barbeque, garden furniture and views of the pool and vineyards. There is a washing machine in a third bathroom on the ground floor. The Minervois Leisure office is next door so help and advice is always available.
